Searching By Subject

Subject searches are the most direct method for retrieving maps and atlases from the Library's online catalogs, OskiCat and MELVYL. Search by "subject keywords" and limit the search by Publication Format "maps." The order of the subject keywords is not important.

In addition to retrieving maps by subject, one can also find maps by call number. Many other maps are located in books, atlases, and periodicals; a guide to Finding Maps in Books and Periodicals is available.
